BOSS ME 70
It has been a week since i have been reading reviews and watching videos about the two multi-effects from Boss. U84DG85X894C
Clearly if we compare the two, Boss GT8 is much better, it has more effects and features. In recording GT8 is way cooler than ME70. Effects can be in any order which is for me a great thing about this gadget. But the price is higher than ME70 which is a drawback.
In the other hand, what I like with the Boss ME70 is its simplicity, and I think its user friendly compared with Boss GT8. It already caters all my needs (effects) since I’m just an amateur guitarist. But one thing I wish the Boss ME 70 had is the “Auto Riff” effect from other Boss products, I have to have this tone. The price is cheap around $299 which is a win win with what you get with this multi-effects.
Below are the features of both multi-effects.
BOSS ME 70
A multi-effects unit that’s as easy as a stompbox — that’s the beauty of the new ME-70. The friendly, knob-laden design makes tone creation a snap, but with a powerful COSM® AMP section derived from the GT-10, the ME-70 takes the “EZ effects” concept to new heights.
- Dedicated knobs for each parameter for fast, friendly operation
- New COSM Preamp section derived from GT-10 and Legend series
- EZ TONE for quick, easy editing
- Four footswitches and Expression pedal
- PHRASE LOOP function in DELAY section, with 38 seconds of recording time
- Battery or AC (optional PSA-120s) operation
BOSS GT-8
Boss GT8 brings unprecedented performance and tonal control to the stage and studio. The Dual COSM amp section provides two discrete amp channels; you can layer and manipulate each engine independently to create wildly expressive sounds. Thanks to the Solo Switch function, lead sounds can be immediately activated — perfect for ripping through the mix.
- BOSS’s most powerful floor multi-effects processor
- Dual COSM® Preamp with Solo Mode for instant tone boost
- Control amp channels and effects by picking dynamics
- Independent effect loop
- Effects can be in any order
